"Evolution" Baby Blak produced by LG. on itunes now!
After six years since the release of Baby Blak’s debut “Once You Go Blak”, BBK is back and sounding better than ever. The new single “Evolution”, produced by Brooklyn’s own LG(2Pac, Big Daddy Kane, Big L, Nas, Ill Al Skratch, etc) is definitely a problem!
The slick wordplay provided by the self proclaimed “Penmanship Premonition” over the cinematic soundscape provided LG is definitely enough proof that Hip Hop is alive and well. When asked why he took so much time off, Blak explains sternly. “I really didn’t, I just wasn’t in the public eye. I’m not really one of those fame chasers. I really was dealt a bad hand. A horrible deal, worse management….just bad decisions. I just wanted to get my situation straight before just runnin’ in place again. I made more money the year after the first album came out than in almost 10 years of dealing with certain people. I wanted to start producing and own more stock in myself and people fear that when they try to control you. Especially when they have nothing to offer you. So I just took a few years to get myself right and prepared for now.
I will be explaining all of this on the upcoming project, The B! True Hollyhood Story! Its a couple people I have to really get at that just left me stranded and put my career in jeapordy. Plenty of deception. But I’m wiser now and I just want to do what I do. All my major markets are still behind me worldwide, all the real people I ran into in life are still in full support and all the liars, cheaters, thieves and people who misunderstood me are on the other side of the fence.
Contrary to popular belief I haven’t taken a 6 year hiatus. I’ve just been stealth for a minute. I been promoting my artists and their projects which have been doing really good, I’ve jumped on more collaborations than any point in my career, and I’m still just as relevant with he pen game fam.” Well if “Evolution” is any clue to what is coming soon on “The B! True Hollyhood Story!”, then its true. Once you go Blak……………

I'm Not A Critic, No Reviews Here

yo, I'm not the type of individual on the blogspot giving an opinion on another man's work fam. If I post about something its either one of my peoples works or myself to use as an additional tool to get it out to the public. If I don't like something I rather just not write about it at all and leave it at that. This is a disclaimer that I am not the final say so on music, the end all that be all or who you should listen to. You have your own opinions and are entitled to use them. You know what you enjoy so I'll leave it at that. anyway stay tuned for more gems I feel & if you fuxx with them too then hey, thats what this is for right? Holla Blak.
14KT Nowalaters

New music from one of Ann Arbor’s finest, 14KT, off of his upcoming free download project, Nowalataz. The project is a batch of Donuts-inspired beats from 2006. Personally this is a collection of bangers, beginning to end. My favorites are joints like "Cherish", "T&A" and the collaboration with Black Milk, "Black N Gold". You can grab the free download at http://www.zshare.net/download/64285273fb4e9d61. Enjoy

Tanzania Lateef "Coolout"

Now you might call me biased, but the truth is this is a hot record to me. Yea yea yea, I might have picked the beat(thanks Blaak the 9th Man, Soulville salute), TL might be the first artist off my label(Cinema7 Multimedia Group) and I might have overseen the whole session but still in all this is a hot record. Tanzania Lateef, born in Baltimore residing in Philly is so nice with the pen. This is the ultimate house cleaning soundscape. The cookout anthem, the advanced backward skating(Beard City Committee feel me) track. Anybody into some thoro, grown, fall back type joint that will take you back to the time of gimmick- less music when artistry was the most important. Check it out for yourself. Available on itunes & wherever else digital music is sold.
